Summer jackets are annoying

There isn't one I like:

Denim: sometimes too casual, double denim with jeans
Leather biker: too edgy
Blazer: too smart
Khaki army jacket: too casual

I want a jacket that is like a pea coat or grey 3/4 length wool coat in winter - goes with everything - good for walking dog, having lunch, shopping and parent teacher meetings.

A jersey blazer? Not too smart, can be dressed up or dressed down?

I have a cord blazer that isn’t too smart. Otherwise I try and go cardigan as often as possible, but they aren’t windproof.

Has anyone got a nice sort of structured cardi?

I have a couple of red denim style jackets, one dark red twill . Think it's around 15 years old and a bright red one with lace overlay , I found the second one when sorting out my wardrobes no idea how long I've had it as I forgot all about it. I agree about summer jackets though
