Are either of these fake??

I bought the same shoes from 2 different places (JD Sports and an online shop). The online shop was £10 cheaper. They are slightly different so I’m wondering if anyone knows if this is legit or if perhaps the online ones are fakes? The left and right shoes are from the 2 different pairs but all 3 pics are just different angles of the same 2 shoes. To make it harder I won’t say which is which....what do you think?? X

The real ones have a star in the 'o' of the name on the heel. The others look fake to me.

Extensive (ahem) research on the schuh and Next websites would lead me to agree.

Dodgy right!! I looked back on the site where I bought them and the catalogue pics don’t match what they sent me....I didn’t notice at first but when I tried them on they just didn’t feel right then I noticed the logos are slightly different 🤔

The fake ones are the online ones. I’m even more annoyed cos I bought my son a pair too...just checked them and they also look fake! Grrrrr

The font on the sole inside the shoe - is the word 'converse' is off too.

The ones without a star in the O are fake. JD Sports don’t sell fake shoes @wormysquirm.

@DragonsAndCakes I ordered them from a website called Surfdome....will be calling them to complain first thing!

I totally agree about which ones are fake, for the same reasons.

Ooh. I have used Surdome quite a lot, although not for Cons, and not for a few years. They seem to sell out of season/surplus stock of branded sportswear, outdoorsy stuff, skate gear etc.

I’d contact your local trading standards for advice

I’d be really surprised if Surfdome is selling fake stuff. They’re a massive, well known site. They’re probably just a slightly different design or edition.

Just checked a pair of Concerse I got from Office years ago - no star in the o.

Could be old stock - think surf dome clears old stuff ?

It'll just be a different season surely? Although if you are receiving items which do not match the picture your ordered - complain and get your money back.

This is why I dislike spending so much on branded shoes/items as it's so easy for them to be or look fake.

My DH suggested that they are old stock or maybe imported from a different country....I’ll call them and see what they say!

A wee update...I called Converse to ask them and they said that the online shop (Surfdome) are definitely an authorised seller and also apparently Converse hav very recently updated their design so the ‘fakes’ aren’t fakes after all! Hurrah!
