Suits for 16 year olds

Does anyone have any favourite websites for suits. It's my sons prom in a couple of weeks and we are trying to find a nice suit for him to wear and then to use for interviews.

He's nearly 6ft and as skinny as a rake and has hair down to between his shoulder blades.

We have large branches of Primark, M&S and small branches of Next, Top Man and Moss Bros. here and found a suit he sort of likes in M&S, which we can fall back on if the worse comes to the worse.

He doesn't really know what he wants or really likes (he is driving me up the wall). He hates the country gent and Rupert look though.

Budget is £150 absolute maximum, slim fit, 3 piece possibly.

Picture to show you his style. Although the jumper make him look a bit bulky he is straight up and down, turn sideways and you miss him.

I think next suits are great value and they do kids - teenagers - men's and various fittings. We had one for son and husband for a wedding both from there.

Zara do great suits too...but they sell quickly so may be more difficult to get the size.
Is Burton the same as Top Man?

UatuTheWatcher · 14/06/2018 19:25

He wasn't too impressed with what he saw in the shop so I'll check out what they have online.

Oooh! didn't think of Zara so will go check them out. Burton are different from Top Man so will check them.

He would just love this

but it's not really good for interviews etc.

That looks great!
ASOS do them too...tend to be skinny fit...
I think it would be quite expressive for an interview...as in would make you stand out. Depending on his personality it might help him feel confident

I noticed that Burton and Next do something similar and a few others that he will probably like as well.

I must admit that I couldn't get on with the ASOS website.

Don’t get 3 piece. He will never be expected to wear a waistcoat. Spend a bit more on the 2 piece suit. Zara understand slim men! Ted Baker are more expensive but again the cut is slim.

UatuTheWatcher · 14/06/2018 23:59

He loves wearing waistcoats Smile Quite often wears them casually with tshirt and jeans.

I'm afraid Ted Baker is out of our price range.

ASOS? Next? My son’s prom was last year and he’s very very skinny. I didn’t realise we should have been looking in March because by the time we did look, there wasn’t much left. ASOS was great. Saved the day! We spent use over £100 and he looked good in a 3 piece with tie and kerchief. We ordered a few and sent all but one back.

Next came up trumps for my 16 year old skinny 6 footer last summer.
