Dd has blonde hair and brown eyes so I think gold or rose gold rather than silver.
Budget around £50-100

I'm thinking 'everyday' rather than special occasion but I'm not fixed on this. She's not flashy / glitzy / showy.

Dd is quite active - hobbies include rock-climbing, high tree stuff. She likes travelling.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

What about something like a initial necklace.
Late spade do some lovely non bling ones in budget.

Love this guy’s stuff. I have some of the ‘stained glass’ collection and it’s beautiful.

Try Hairy Growler. They make pendants out of old silver coins.

Tx MyKingdom and Notso. I like both of these suggestions, I am browsing though not sure about an initial because she's an 'R' but is known as a 'B' if that makes sense...

I’m loving the plain gold pendants at 88andcloudless.com - dd got a gold star for christening and I’m buying a matching one for me! They’re solid gold so you can bathe in them, but the price is pretty good. All the things I see recommended are gold vermeil so wouldn’t last nearly as long x

Check out Monica Vinader, their stuff is divine and I'm pretty sure they're having a sale atm!

TwitterQueen1 · 15/06/2018 16:15

88 looks nice, though not a huge range.
Monica V - I don't really want vermeil necklaces so not much to choose from here as I want gold, not silver. But thanks!

You might struggle to get solid gold within your budget and gold vermeil will just fade.

After a lot of googling I found a 9 carat rose gold ball necklace from Ernest Jones, reduced from £250 to £125.

Their buying process is appalling - online problems, couldn't reset password, 10 minutes on the phone with no answer.... you've really got to try very hard to spend money with them....

Anyway, thanks all. I'm pleased with the end result and hopefully DD will be too. I did look at various crafty, independent jewellers (I would have preferred to buy from one of them rather than a chain) but just couldn't find what I wanted.
