Copper/orange hair

My natural hair is a very dark mousey blonde. For a while it’s been mid-brown, dyed by the hairdresser (or a box dye at home if funds are tight) but whichever dye is used ends up giving me gingery, brassy tones which are especially visible when the light hits it. I’ve just used Castings Light Brown as the colour on the box doesn’t look ginger but the result is below! (I think ginger hair is lush btw it just doesn’t suit my skin)

I have tried many browns, some are too dark and produce a flat colour which makes me look washed out, and the other colours just leave me with the ginger tones. What can I do/ask the hairdresser for that won’t give this brassiness?

You need a cool toned blonde that is ash based. So ash blonde rather than anything called golden or warm.

Wash hair with a purple shampoo too.
Fudge or bleach London I've found keep the brass out of mine.
