Is this a little too 'pretty/dressy'?

It fits really nicely (and it's reduced from £70 to £24!!), but I can't quite put my finger on what I am not sure about.

THIS

Is it dated or a bit too dressy - I normally and a plain dresser with stiffer fabrics. this is quite 'chiffony' and floaty?

Opinions welcome, thanks.Smile

It's lovely! I'd get zero wear out of it as it is very dressy, for me, but it's really nice.

Bombardier25966 · 13/06/2018 19:51

What are you wearing it for?

I like it. I'd prefer it without the peplum but for the price I think it's great.

happihannible68 · 13/06/2018 19:59

I think it's lovely, keep yr shoes & bag a simple base color and your set up xx

GrannyGrissle · 13/06/2018 19:59

It's lovely. I was expecting some ditzy print abomination Grin

MikeUniformMike · 13/06/2018 20:04

It's nice and a great price. get it.

Bluntness100 · 13/06/2018 20:09

I'm sorry I really dislike it. The material looks thin, you can see light through the bottom of the trousers in one of the shots, which just looks cheap, and the pattern is too busy to wear head to toe.

I'm also a plain fabric dresser and struggle with big patterns, and In particular big heavily patterned trousers like these.

makeupmaven · 13/06/2018 21:00

I don't love the peplum waist, but overall it's nice. I would easily wear this in the daytime with some blush pink sandals.

However, if you don't think you'll wear it, don't get it. £24 isn't a bargain if it never makes it out of your wardrobe!

AnnieAnoniMouser · 13/06/2018 21:04

It would be ok worn casually with a pair of converse type shoes.

It looked like a dress as I scrolled down, I liked it as a short dress.

sonjadog · 13/06/2018 21:08

It would concern me that it was that transparent the whole way down.

gingercat02 · 13/06/2018 21:10

I think it looks like pyjamas sorry!

LetTheChickenSeeTheTikka · 13/06/2018 21:10

I have one similar. I wore it for my hen night.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 13/06/2018 21:11

I love jumpsuits as a rule but there is something off putting about this. The peplum is desperate, really unflattering. Maybe it's the combination of pattern and peplum, it is even unflattering on the model. And it's been styled poorly IMO, those shoes are awful with it. Sorry, not usually so outspoken!!!

SinglePringle · 13/06/2018 21:11

Aside from the cheap looking fabric, the peplum makes the (clearly not fat) model look thick waisted. She’s probably a size 8...

wtffgs · 13/06/2018 21:12

My eyes!

That is horrible. I love chiffon things but no - just no!

Racecardriver · 13/06/2018 21:39

The peplum is a bit awkward

Ellapaella · 13/06/2018 21:55

Agree it looks very see through on the leg so I would be concerned it was cheap, thin material that doesn't hang well but no way of knowing without trying it on I guess. The waist is a bit strange.. it makes it look more like a 2 piece than a jump suit. Nice pattern but I can see what you mean about it seeming too 'fussy' though.

Baubletrouble43 · 13/06/2018 22:06

Yeah I'm concerned that without a fabulous skinny waist it could make someone look dumpy. I would steer clear with my huge arse and baby tum. I could imagine it looking fab on someone trim though x

Tonkerbea · 13/06/2018 22:09

Really sorry, too busy for me- but I'm not buying it!

Do you like it because it's something you'll feel great in or because it's a bargain?

bassackwards · 13/06/2018 22:11

It's totally Kelly from 90210 but if that's the look you're going for then hey

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 13/06/2018 22:17

Gosh, sorry OP, I don't like it. It has the potential to look very unflattering, the straps are bad, the neckline is bad, the peplum is bad, I don't like the fabric.

It looks clunky, awkward and old fashioned. I'm really struggling to find something positive about it, but despite all that, I'm not wearing it! Why not order it and try it on? If you love it then you've got a bargain!

ShoppingOnesSelfFit · 13/06/2018 22:18

Thank you for all the replies....it's going back Grin

That's £24 to go towards something morn suitable!

Thanks again.

Morn? More...

OP posts:
Bluntness100 · 13/06/2018 22:33

Probably wise.

I've learned if you're not sure about something, then you never are and you just won't wear it. You won't fall magically in love with it

Buy what you love. Otherwise you just gather crap at the back of your wardrobe...

BowKay · 13/06/2018 22:34

My first impressions were that it was a cheap looking print. Don't just buy it because it's a bargain, you obviously have reservations and don't love it.
