Singapore holiday

Off to Singapore in July for 12 days, staying in hotel and visiting son and family, with some sight seeing. Always take too much stuff so am trying to travel light! I’m 61, ok with shorts, but too short for maxi dresses, size 12.
I’m thinking shorts, sleeveless tops, knee length dresses to but no idea how many etc.
All your hints and tips gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

I’d definitely take one top (or a dress) for nearly each day, only because you can get so sweaty that (unless you’re getting laundry done) you won’t want to rewear items. Sometimes hand washed clothing doesn’t dry out in the hotel bathroom, or smells musty, but I suppose a hair dryer can help.
Obviously stick with lighter, breathable fabrics but have a light cardi for freezing shops/restaurants and the plane... In SE Asia when we have air-con we like to really feel it!
Don’t forget a thin pac-a-mac or compact umbrella for the lovely surprise heavy showers!

Oh, and while Singapore is relatively liberal in terms of clothing guidelines, if you’ve planned to enjoy any of the swanky experiences (a meal or look at Raffles, for example) a dress code will still apply.
