Have you ever bought anything because you saw it on Kate Middleton?

Just curious! Almost bought the Zara dress she was in in the newspapers today because I loved how it looked... on her. Then realised I have a very different figure to the Duchess and closed the internet window promptly. 😂

walnut Grin. TBF it's a great coat!

I bought a Me & Em Breton due to her. I also had a pair of red Hobbs high heels that she later wore on the Canada tour.

She dresses like someone who isn’t that interested in fashion but knows she has a role to play and dresses accordingly. I think she looks fine. Most people wear a uniform of sorts to fit in, even if they don’t admit it.

Meghan hasn’t yet hit her stride (the pink Trooping the Colour dress was a bit of a fail) but I’m looking forward to her (hopefully) slightly more fashion forward approach to being a royal.

I work for company whose pieces Kate has worn to high profile events.

The Kate effect on a small business is incredible, we sold out for months and still benefit years later so there alot of people buying whatever she wears.

I bought his one and haven't worn it out of embarrassment for thinking I could look as lovely as she does in it.

No, I have no occasion to wear the sort of things she wears on official engagements. She dresses way older than she is.

frasier · 10/06/2018 21:12

Yep, the nude shoes from LKBennett. Never worn them though Blush

I've googled today's dress and think it's awful, I don't even feel she pulls it off tbh and she normally can pull off most things. But I still can't believe she only gave birth 6 weeks ago! Amazing. I know she has help etc but still.

mostdays · 10/06/2018 21:20

No. That would be weird.

AsTheMilesTheyDisappear · 10/06/2018 21:22

No. She's so conservative. Not me at all.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/06/2018 21:28

Nothing that Kate wears is of interest. She has such a different figure to me. I like her casual clothes, but skinny jeans & Breton tops are not groundbreaking.

I do however like Meghan’s selection of black trousers. The wide pants & the 7/8ths tuxedo pants. Also liked the lbd’s she wore in the week before the wedding.

I briefly had the fanny gallops for that frilled Burberry mac about 5 years ago then I remembered that I am neither tall nor slender and in fact a mac would be perfect if I wanted to infiltrate a potato warehouse.

No,at least I don't think I have.(crosses fingers)
Couldn't tell you what even her wedding dress looks like, let alone what she wears normally.

EdWinchester · 10/06/2018 22:14

God, no! She's hardly a style maven.

Far too prissy for me.

NotARegularPenguin · 10/06/2018 22:16

Nope. But I’m only 41 so wouldn’t want to dress that old.

Elementally · 10/06/2018 22:35

Anything high street that she wears has obviously been tailored and adjusted to fit perfectly. I bet that Zara dress is see through in real life. Probably had a lining added. She has to wear cheaper clothing sometimes to appear down to earth.

moredoll · 11/06/2018 00:17

Nope.

EventNotInData · 11/06/2018 00:25

I went out and bought a pair of LKB stilettos at twice my usual shoe budget after reading that Kate always wears them because they’re very comfortable for their height. Mine are neither sledge, nor nude, but they are very comfortable and easy to walk in.
