Making wavy hair more wavy

Do any products exist for encouraging a curl in kind-of-wavy hair? It's not straight enough to leave straight and not curly enough to be curly!

I've tried mousse but it leaves me with a crunchy wet-look style a la 80s.

Also tried serum/oil etc but it just goes greasy. Anything else I'm missing?

Sea salt spray is great for waves Smile

Look at the curly girl method. It's to do with not using silicone and ph free shampoos on your hair. I'm a curly girlie and it's full of great advice, as to what type of curl you have (there's loads of different types) and what to use on your hair. Curls are hard to manage, but mine are getting better with following the method. I've started using Cantu shampoos and conditioners and products, they seem to help mine 😊

Try umberto gianni curl jelly with a diffuser

Wrap your hair in a towel after you have styled it. It works for my hair.

Curly girl works for me too. Went from wavy hair to corkscrew curls

Thanks All, thought curly girl was just for people who were already curly, so will look that back up Smile

I think the most important thing is to let it dry naturally and just separate it with your fingers (or at most an Afro comb) as it becomes nearly dry. Brushing flattens waves. If I have time I sometimes also use Boots curl creme and/or a salt spray.

Thanks Fox - did that this morning and it's actually a bit better just from not being brushed!
