Help! Job interview this week

I have an interview for a HR Advisor role this week and need a new outfit. I normally wear dresses to work but I have a small tattoo that I want to hide so trousers/blouse would better. I'm 5' 4" and a 14-16. I haven't had a chance to see what the staff there wear, but it'd be working for a council.
Don't have a huge amount of choice near me but do have next, Wallis, phase Eight, m&s where I can go to try on.
Any ideas? Budget up to £100

Hi, I work in a local authority. I also have a huge tattoo on my foot.

I tend to wear black trousers, white blouse/shirt and a coordinated blazer to job interviews. It pretty much covers all dress codes, works within your budget and means you'll have another three staples to add to your wardrobe.

I mostly wear dresses to work, most of our offices are air con'd to the max at this time of year, so I'd have no qualms about wearing black tights if needed. I'm not bothered about showing my tattoo within the office, but will cover it up when meeting external stakeholders or councillors. Having said that, they seem commonplace right up to senior leadership!

I've found dress codes vary even within local authorities, but it's corporate/business casual for most places. Staff interpretation of that is quite broad though Grin

Have you checked out smart works? Its a charity supporting women getting back to the workforce. The reason I suggest it is a bunch of brands (like LK Bennet) give some of their old stock, or women who are working in the city give their clothes, so you can get some amazing outfits. And they hook you up with a stylist so its all amazing. And job interview coaching if you need it (you probably don't).

GOOD LUCK with the interview. I know you'll do amazing.

With a relatively small budget for a whole outfit I would suggest a large Sainsbury’s.
Yi7 should be able to get trousers, top and jacket for £100 and they have some nice shoes in as well if you need those

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up wearing trousers and shirt from next.
Just waiting to hear if I got it, although the questions were a bit out of the ordinary so don't think I'm what they're looking for!!
