Wedge sandals

Has anyone seen any that look comfortable for everyday use? I have some Saltwater sandals in silver which look lovely but are just too flat.

I'm a 4/5 with wide feet but have been trawling websites and the closest I can find to what I want are the Fly London sandals but they aren't 'strappy' enough.

Or has anyone tried the Birkenstock Luna?

Following.....I’m looking for the same thing Smile

I don’t normally do high shoes at all as I am extremely tall already but these ones from Gabor are the highest shoes I have and I find them comfortable for a full night out which is rare so these would probably be ok. They are pricey but I have had them for 3 years and still going strong and they still stock them.

I am also searching for “those” shoes, also in a 4/5 wide fit! Even my faithful New Look have let me down so far this year Shock

Thave you looked at Moshulu ? I have wide feet too and they fit me OK . Not a comfortable as Gabor IMO but pretty good for everyday wear .

StripySocksAndDocs · 10/06/2018 07:02

I'm the same sized feet as you. Wideness and all.

So far no joy with finding a wedge - so I'm shamelessly piggybacking your thread!!

I have wide feet (E fitting) and my most comfortable Summer sandals are Brora espadrilles.

Madonnasmum · 10/06/2018 07:41

I have wide feet and can wear these all day. Really comfy. Sorry can't do short links. These are Gabor too, which I am always a little Shock at the prices but these are worth it as my feet can no longer stand cheap shoes. It must be an age thing....

Depending on where you live you might have a Pavers shoe shop. When I was younger I thought they were for grannies, and there's quite a bit of the range that is like that but recently I have started to appreciate the comfort aspect. Ahem. They stock a wide selection of quality shoes. They've got a website too.

I'm currently living in these: www.tesco.com/direct/ff-sensitive-sole-closed-toe-wedge-espadrilles/752-7798.prd

I wear flat forms , much more comfy than the wedge going up .

White in 4 and 5
Tan in 5
Wide fit, not too high

iamme21 · 10/06/2018 08:10

@olaflovesanna can I ask which saltwater flats you have? I’ve been looking at some but was worried they wouldn’t fit my wide feet. Thanks

Or Earth Origins

I have these, they are so comfortable.

HidingFromDD · 10/06/2018 08:35

@9GreenBottles , I have those as well, only had them a week so can't comment too much on overall comfort level, but I did wear them all day at work and they were ok

ThenCameTheFools · 10/06/2018 09:10

Most of the Menorcan brands do wedges. I saw Fitflop have some closed toe low wedge types as well. If anyone spots the perfect tan low wedge closed toe please let me know!

OlafLovesAnna · 10/06/2018 10:57

Lots of replies since I checked! I had the classic Saltwater sandals and the width was fine but I bought the size 38 which was a Saltwater 6 after reading reviews which said they came up small and they're too big really, I should have gone for the 37.

I'm going to go through all the posts and recommendations now 😊

I tried these on yesterday
www.gaborshoes.co.uk/womens-c1/sandals-c4/wedge-c79/anna-2-ladies-wedge-heel-sandals-p31797

And they were sooooo comfortable!

I also tried these:
www.dunelondon.com/koala-plait-t-bar-strap-cork-wedge-heel-0081500620008511/

Which looked OK but were just not comfortable.

I also ordered these:
www.clarks.co.uk/c/Un-Karely-Hail/p/26133325

for walking on holiday as they were amazingly comfy.

I think I'm going to get the Gabor ones too.
