Blusher recommendation

travelmonster · 08/06/2018 19:53

I have been using Clinique's Chubby Stick blusher for the last year or so, bit have noticed that after 10 mins or so it sort of disappears into my face, every with primer.

The stick is coming to the end now and I'd really like to replace it with something easy to apply that actually lasts. I use Amp'd Up Apple at the moment and I like the colour. I'm fairly pale and freckly generally.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Laura Mercier or Bobbie Brown powder blushers are quiet pigmented and have great staying power on me. I find MAC blushers are super pigmented and a bit too intense for me no matter how light handed I am.

At the cheaper end of the scale Boots No 7 and NYX blushers are good imo.

mmmgoats · 08/06/2018 20:32

Seconding NYX blushers they last a lot longer than some of my really expensive ones!

travelmonster · 08/06/2018 20:44

Thank you! I see NYX do a few different ranges of blusher - any recommendations?

If you’re fair, take a look at Benefit’s Dandelion (I swear by it to give me some colour).

Daniel Sandler watercolour blush is amazing

I like the high definition blush or the baked blush. Probably the first if I had to chose.

I'm very pale and I am so happy to have discovered (only last week) N07's ''honey'' as it so very subtle but very warm. Love it.

Nars orgasm or super orgasm is a well known colour for professionals to use Blush

HeyDolly · 08/06/2018 21:09

I found Nars orgasm far too glittery on me.

Processedpea · 08/06/2018 21:14

try nars deep throat

Housewife2010 · 08/06/2018 21:19

Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk is great for a long lasting glow. I bought it a while ago but I'm using it every day now. There's 10% off Glossier with the code bff.glossier.com/hB8q9

JennyHolzersGhost · 08/06/2018 21:20

NARS do matte versions of the Multiple; they also don’t have the horrible crass sexualised tacky names that the sparkly ones have.
‘Orgasm’ Hmm is Riviera in matte I think.

Flicketyflack · 08/06/2018 21:24

Benefits dandelion Grin

coffeekittens · 08/06/2018 21:28

I use an urban decay one, it’s part of a naked bronzing and highlighting pallet but I’m they staying power is amazing, I’m sure that the individual blushers are the same.

stoplickingthetelly · 08/06/2018 21:29

Powder blusher tends to last longer than a cream I think. I got stila convertible and bobbi brown pot rouge and while I like both of them, neither last as long as my powder blushers.

PodgeBod · 08/06/2018 21:31

I was going to suggest Benefit Dandelion as well, you can get it in a mini if you want to try it out without committing too much money. With a light hand you can use it all over your face to brighten, and build it up to use as a blush.

Ducksarsehead · 08/06/2018 23:50

NARS for me. I got the narssicist blush palette last year. No 2 i think. It stays on even after the rest of my makeup has worn off.
Its been very hot here today. I applied a light but full face of makeup at 8am
I just removed it and the blusher was really the only one you could see on the corton pad.

RoseRuby26 · 09/06/2018 21:48

Seconded NARS deep throat

PoohBearsHole · 09/06/2018 21:52

I was going to recommend the Clinique 😳 I also have a nars chubby equivalent but it’s more a bronzer so I mix both.

I loved a Laura Geller one I had (Roseberry) its a baked cream-to-powder.
Sadly it shattered after being dropped , I did hang onto it as long as I could and keep using it .

I need to scout it out again and rebuy.

I did try Sleek RoseGold ( famous dupe for Nars Orgasm) but it made me look like I'd had a glitter fight !
