Best hair dye?

I have jet black hair with quite a few greys, I occasionally dye my hair a light/dark brown but it doesn't take well.
Anyone got any suggestions??

Loreal Majirel. You'll need the X.0 shades to cover grey best. Also, use a clarifying shampoo before dying because any silicone residue from your shamp/condtioner will block dye absorption.
