Dungarees....To keep or not to keep? Opinions needed!

Hello,
Tried these black Dungarees on in the Jack Wills sale, if you hadn't already realised they were jack wills from the wallpaper in the changing room!
I'm really unsure about them, do they look too tight? Do they not suit me? I'm in two minds, as I've always wanted a pair of dungarees, but I'm undecided as to whether they look 'right' on me. Also, if I did keep them, does anyone have outfit ideas? Please help me decide!

Never heard of Jack Wills is, but the dungarees look great.

IdblowJonSnow · 07/06/2018 20:55

Keep!

thunderbirdthree · 07/06/2018 20:55

They look awesome.

ManicPixieDream · 07/06/2018 20:56

Really nice on you. I hated my dungarees when I first put them on but now I'm reluctant to ever take them off. I like to wear mine with a black t-shirt or vest underneath. I've had loads of compliments and people asking where they are from (topshop via ebay).

Keep them they look great on you!

PatienceIsAVirtue1 · 07/06/2018 20:56

Thank you for your replies 😊 I think I'm only worrying if they look too tight, because they are a size 4 😳😱 I am certainly not, and indeed have never been, a size 4!!! I tried my usual size 8/10 on and they were huge...I wanted a tighter pair of dungarees as I'd think they'd look better, but now I'm worried that they look too tight and that I'm squeezing myself into them. Ridiculous sizing in there anyway! That's why I never order online from them!

ManicPixieDream, yes I've not worn Dungarees before, despite admiring them on loads of different people. I've never had the confidence, I think it takes a while after you've bought them to actually leave the house in them, as I just think that people will think I look stupid in them!

I've actually got the same ones , but in blue denim ! Keep them, they look great and they are really comfy 😊

robotwellyboots · 08/06/2018 14:35

bingohandjob · 08/06/2018 14:54

Keep keep keep and be prepared to not want to wear anything else. I bought Lucy & Yak dungarees recently and I live in them.

lindyloo57 · 08/06/2018 18:37

you look great, i have just brought my first ever skirt style of dungarees, and like you not sure if i would keep, but i think i will.

Ellapaella · 08/06/2018 18:39

Love them op - you look great. Hope you bought them.

Trialsmum · 08/06/2018 18:43

They look lovely! I’d maybe turn up the bottoms one or twice so they look shorter as a feature iyswim. Id really like a pair of those!

dudsville · 08/06/2018 18:45

Best example of dungarees in real life that I've seen op!

PugwallsSummer · 08/06/2018 20:55

It's a "keep" from me! Smile

HildaZelda · 08/06/2018 21:00

Definitely keep them. They look great on you.

Could I be cheeky and ask if you might have a link to them at all?

PatienceIsAVirtue1 · 08/06/2018 21:36

Thank you for all your lovely comments, you're v.kind! I am definitely keeping them now, just need to wear them out once and realise I don't look stupid in them, then it should be plain sailing from there 😂
Yes of course, let me find them in the website and then I will link them...they are in the sale, so grab them while you can...as I mentioned earlier, I'd try and get to a store, or at least order several sizes to try as sizing was SO out.
By the way, I checked and they are definitely a 4, as it says underneath US size 0 😱 Definitely not that size, really weird sizing it has to be said.

Found them, they are called the Ottringham Dungaree.

For some reason, two versions of he black style are coming up, despite being exactly the same...I'd order either as they are exactly the same style.

Thank you very much. I'm normally a 6-8 so I think I'd better go with the 4 myself. I prefer them more fitted as well.

PatienceIsAVirtue1 · 08/06/2018 22:20

You'll have to post a pic of you in them if you do buy them! 😊
