Flattering cropped trousers size 12/14?

Do they exist and are they comfortable for everyday wear?

I expect others will disagree, but I don't think cropped trousers are flattering on anyone except those with long slim gazelle legs, who actually benefit from the shortening effect.

I know that wasn't exactly the answer you were looking for, but IMO, "flattering" in relation to dropped trousers is always going to be a misnomer. I say that as a size 10-12 with a 34" inside leg!

I bought some great dark blue Capri style jeans from Oasis. I think they are called grace. I usually hate this kind of thing but these are good

Boden Richmond 7/8s are my go to. They're ankle skimming rather than cropped though.
Nice cotton stretch that hold their shape.

Read the Mumsnet Swears By thread, pinned to the top of S&B! Lots of great trousers in there.

Including the Richmond 7/8 trousers, also my trews of choice.

I have the Hush ones. I think they're too short, though - would prefer them to be more ankle grazing.

It depends what you mean by crop. Those crumply beige/grey/khaki things that people garden in are never going to be a fashion icon I think.

I go for Richmonds as well. They aren't perfect by a long shot- they do tend to bunch round the knees if you sit down for a long time. But as an ankle skimmer rather than a crop, they are flattering.

ThenCameTheFools · 08/06/2018 17:45

Just had a look at the MN swears by link, you can see the knee bunching on the Richmonds!

They also have Gap bi stretch skinny which I also have (there's a typo and in the blurb they call them Next) They are lovely, but as I'm now a 14-16 top and a 10 bottom, and these are very very skinny, I only wear them with a flowing or floaty top.

Some of the others on that link are revolting. Grin Oddly, the M&S look a bit like Richmonds, without the knee bunching.

I've got several pairs from Jaeger and I love them Smile

Processedpea · 08/06/2018 18:21

I like gap and uniqlo

NotMeNoNo · 08/06/2018 20:20

Gap bi stretch skinny ankle pants, comfortable and loads of sizes, lengths and prints. Agree mid calf crop is hard to pull off but ankle length shows off your shoes.

I bought some for work from Matalan. Navy blue and £10.
