Do the youngins typically don't wear them? Are these styles considered "young" - 20s?

Are leather jackets considered for 30+ territory? Or are there just certain styles like these?

Are these considered "younger" - 20s?

Or are they all for more mature people - 30+?

My question is in terms of what 20s and 30s wear these days.

Of course, everyone can wear a leather jacket. But what do 20s/30s wear typically?

Depends how it's styled in my opinion.

E.g. on me bootcut (any non skinny) jeans with a biker jacket makes adds 5/10 years on me and looks very 'mumsy trying hard'. It doesn't work as a look on me. But skinnies, sandals, nice top and biker jacket works a treat

The jacket style and the outfit styling ages something rather than the leather itself in my opinion

I have several unworn biker jackets, I like them but somehow I always feel a bit uncomfortable in them, it’s almost like they are the 40 plus I’m trying too hard look, so I put one on then quickly take it off again and vow to give them to the charity shop.

Ten years ago, a bikerish leather jacket was a great way to be thirties trying to look twenties. But add a decade plus ubiquity (as knowledge of the trick spreads) and start denotes it’s forties trying to look 30s.

It’s the new waterfall cardigan.

“Start denotes”? I meant suddenly.

They are ageing on me.

If you're in the UK, then I think the trend amongst 20 somethings peaked about five years ago, and now they've moved into "mum uniform" territory, alongside the breton and superga/converse trainer.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo like you I don't feel quite right in them, too try hard. They only work on me with really specific trousers/tops/trainer combos and most days I'm too busy to spend too much time styling the right look. Its certainly not a "throw on go anywhere" jacket for me. Which is a shame as I have two really expensive ones, they hover by the eBay pile but I can't quite do it when I think of the what they cost me!
