What does everybody wear to sleep in

So I love pj's. As soon as my day is done and I'm ready to chill out come the lounge wear / pj's! I also love sleeping in them but I always wake up in the middle of the night too hot. I've tried the knickers and t shirt combo but I feel knickers on all night might not be good for the lady bits! Can't sleep naked, I've tried and end up dressing myself in the bed sheets!

So, what do people wear to bed? I need ideas?

Tia

@trinity0097 do you really always wear a panty liner? I always feel they make me itch!

I think cotton is the way forward. Prob need a new duvet too, and maybe a new mattered. It's memory foam and I've read they can be sweaty.

I wear a pantliner all day as well - 2 pairs of knickers a day (day and night) and always worn with a pantliner. Don't notice I'm wearing it - though do very much notice if I don't.

Pjs for lounging in. For actually sleeping either nothing, or a t-shirt style nightshirt. Sometimes knickers, depending on TOM, and quite often socks - my DP is really tall and tends to hoik the covers up, so I get cold feet.

BlueEyedWonder · 06/06/2018 22:34

Naked all year round.
As does DH.
Each to their own but I hate the restrictive feel of clothes in bed at night.

Sitranced · 06/06/2018 23:22

Cotton shorts and a t-shirt. Looser than knickers but cooler than full pajamas. I'll change into joggers to lounge about in but change into shorts when getting into bed.

I wear a fetching M&S nightie with cool technology fabric and I swapped all my sheets and duvet covers for Egyptian cotton with a high thread count and haven't slept better since making those changes. I also have special pillows which let air flow through the middle, no idea who made them or where I bought them but they exist and work.

Cotton nighties, simple short sleeved ones. If it's really cold I'll wear a plaid shirt over the top.

mathanxiety · 07/06/2018 01:21

Either a cotton nightie or cotton pj pants short or long, with a t-shirt style top, long or short sleeved. I also wear cotton granny knickers that are about two sizes too big.

Twotabbycats · 07/06/2018 02:32

PJs are for lounging!
Long sleeved cotton jersey calf-length nightshirt in winter.
Short-sleeved cotton jersey calf-length nightshirt in spring.
Strappy short nightshirt in lighter fabric in summer.
Cold winters and hot summers here. For years I wore nothing in bed then had to acquire nightshirts when we moved here and discovered it gets down to -15 at night in winter!

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 07/06/2018 02:47

Big pants and nursing bra. Sooooo hot!

dinodiva · 07/06/2018 08:01

Cotton jersey vest/t-shirt style nighties and a crop top or soft bra top and pants underneath. Don’t like the feeling of my norks flapping free, particularly as I’m BF my newborn at the moment. In the winter I sometimes wear pjs if it’s cold, but I split my favourite old pair when I was pregnant.

UnSub · 07/06/2018 08:08

Bra and knickers

0ccamsRazor · 07/06/2018 08:13

Short 100% silk nightdresses.

HildaZelda · 07/06/2018 10:26

Nothing at the moment. Way too hot to even contemplate it. Pyjamas in winter. Primark ones normally. I don't understand why people wear knickers in bed? I have a friend who wears her bra to bed. She's a b cup so it's not for support or anything.

OyWithThePoodles · 07/06/2018 14:27

Cotton nighties in summer; cotton pyjamas in winter. Have to be sleeveless tho - can't bear anything under my arms in bed.

teta · 07/06/2018 15:10

Pima cotton nightslip or shortie pjs in summer and cotton/linen pjs in winter. Though last night I slept naked and didn’t wake up due to my ‘hotness’ once.

bananafish81 · 07/06/2018 16:24

I don't understand why people wear knickers in bed?

Vaginal discharge

Farticles

Post sex fluids

Clean knickers every night under PJs means I don't have to put a clean pair of PJ bottoms on every night, can get a couple of wears out of them instead

I wear knickers during the day so why wouldn't I wear them at night

OCSock · 07/06/2018 16:31

In the buff.... unless it is really cold, in which case I have a thin silk knee length popover I wear over swinsuits on holiday.

NinjaLeprechaun · 07/06/2018 16:51

If I even manage to fall asleep wearing clothes I usually wake up naked. Meaning it would be a waste of time and laundry to put anything on to sleep in. (Then again, I generally only wear clothes the rest of the time because it's socially expected. Or cold. I'd rather not.)
We had an earthquake while I was sleeping not long ago, big enough to wake me up but not enough to do any damage, and I discovered that I can go from being asleep and naked to awake and clothed in about 30 seconds flat.

StaySafe · 07/06/2018 16:55

Nothing, feel entangled and trussed up wearing anything in bed. I do however wear my lovely striped Hush pyjamas for lounging about in during the evening.

CointreauVersial · 07/06/2018 17:18

PJs, always.

Cosy ones in the winter, light ones (shorts, cami) in the summer. If I get too hot I just lose the duvet, or poke a leg out.

Nothing underneath, and I change them regularly.

I hate the feeling of sleeping naked.

Haffiana · 07/06/2018 18:38

Cotton nightie in Winter, short sleeved or sleeveless cotton or viscose nightie in the Summer. I hate sleeping with anything between my legs, my bits like fresh air!

Pure cotton bed linen, wool Baavet most of the year round, 2 tog pure goosedown (thank you on behalf of all post and menopausal women everywhere, John Lewis!!) in the height of the Summer.

tobee · 07/06/2018 21:40

Generally a longish cotton nightie so I can answer the door early without being embarrassed.

I love pyjamas but the seam always go up my bottom! GrinMy favourite ever pair were cool cotton red tartan. The buttoned always undid themselves too.

Babybearsporij · 07/06/2018 21:45

Pyjamas - thick long sleeved, long legged ones in winter, lighter t-shirt & cotton bottoms in spring, shorts & vest top ones in summer. I love pyjamas.

QuinionsRainbow · 08/06/2018 00:30

Birthday suits all round here. T'was ever thus
