What do you think of this denim jacket?

Ok, really want a Levi’s denim jacket 70591 cropped slimline, lovely. However can’t find one online for love nor money (PM me if you have one you want rid of ) and so I’m looking at this one. It wants to be cropped so as to go over above the knee dresses and the like, and the normal trucker jacket just swamps dresses and the proportions are all wrong on me.

But then I started to wonder if the pleating down the sides of the zip makes it look like the kind of leather jacket that was all over everywhere in the 90s, like them matching ones posh and becks used to wear.

Or am I imagining it?

I think the zip makes it a bit gimmicky and you’ll end up buying a button one in a wee while.

In the early nineties I had a slimline dark indigo levi’s western jacket. I left it in a club in the early noughties. End of an era.

I like it. Buttons would last longer but in all honestly. Any denim jacket in this style is ok as they don't date quickly. I'm still wearing the same two I've had ten years. One dark blue and I've got a light blue one too.

if I could find the right cropped style with buttons I would buy it! The one I really wanted was this one...

But I set the alarm for the end of auction on the iPad instead of the phone. Gutted.

Ooh i have a similar levis jacket from the mid 90s that dm just found and brought through to me. I no longer have the boobs to go with it though so too big now

Zip ones tend to be a bit more fitted than buttons

I have lost some great coats in nightclubs. I still keep an eye out for anyone in an Antik Batik jacket in the local area! Coat stealing twats!

Mind I did once come home with a denim jacket that wasn’t mine. I’m clearly a coat stealing twat myself!

I have a shrunken Levi’s denim jacket a la Madonna in her Ray of Light music video. Cost a bomb in Tokyo 17 years ago..... I wonder what I would get for it now?
