Maternity dress for graduation

Hi all,

My husband’s PhD graduation ceremony is at the end of July, at which point I will be 37 weeks pregnant.

I have absolutely no idea what to wear! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was a size 14/16 before pregnancy and am still pretty much the same, but with bump in front.

I would prefer to have my upper arms covered if possible and definitely no black dresses as they make me look like death!

I’m 30 and maternity clothes seem to make me look quite frumpy, particularly now at 30 weeks pregnant my waist is getting a bit less defined.

Thank you so much for any suggestions - budget ÂŁ175 but would prefer to spend less if possible

How about this sort of thing - summery but reasonably covered up? Or do you think it would be too hot?

This is elegant too

I have this Seraphine dress which I wore to a garden party recently and felt really good in. Summery, flattering, lovely pattern and fabric, covers upper arms, well within budget, and you'd be able to wear it again. Worth a try?

Thank you so much, some excellent ideas there! I love some of the floral ones and the more formal one too. I will get ordering and trying on.

Let us know how you get on

I’ve ordered a few you suggested from asos and one from Seraphine. I have just noticed though that a couple of them sit just above the knee which doesn’t always look great on me as I have oddly large knees proportionally! I’ll give them a go though and see what works. Thanks again for the help.
