Cleanser recommendations?

A while back I picked up a cleanser from Superdrug's B. range - the melting gel cleanser. It was brilliant and my skin loved it. Unfortunately they've only gone and bloody discontinued it! I tried the Sparkling Cleanser they had in the same range but it didn't have the same effect - it was okay but not as good as removing every last scrap of make up (even when using micellar water before hand and I don't even wear that much make up day to day!) I've also tried a hot cloth cleanser but my skin becomes blotchy and I'm getting so many breakouts.

Just posting in the hope that someone else used the melting gel cleanser and has found a suitable replacement since?!

Number 7 does one. And Clarins.

I used the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel and I love it.

The Bodyshop Camomile Cleansing Butter.

Do you know what the key/ active ingredients were? Then you could track down another product which contains them?

If you know a Beauty Pie subscriber, the Japanfusion melting cleanser is good. Have also liked the Clarins, but find it overscented, and one from Merumaya, which is okay except for the smell. The DHC cleansing oil gets off everything and then emulsifies on contact with water. Haven't tried the No 7.

Bee good honey and propolis hot cloth cleanser

I second the Clarins Pure melt cleansing gel, it’s fab for my skin. You only need a small amount so lasts ages. Your local Clarins counter will give you a sample to try 😀

Thank you all for the recommendations - knew I could count on MN for putting me in the right direction! Think I'll start with no 7 or Body Shop and see how I get on. Never even thought of Clarins so might see if there is a counter in town to get a sample. Fingers crossed for clearer skin!

I prefer the No7 one to the Clarins. Boots Botanics also do one which is often on offer.

I use grape seed oil. It's antioxidant and destroys make up & sunblock.

The Elemis Nourishing Omega cleansing oil is pricey but so worth it. It removes every scrap of makeup and makes my skin feel lovely. You only need one pump so the bottle lasts ages too.

Another vote for the Bee Good Honey & Propolis - it's really lovely.
