How long do toenails take to grow?

Seem to take ages, much longer than fingernails.

I've got a horrible habit of picking my toenails Blush I can normally control the habit to get them looking nice for the summer but this year they still look awful and I'm tempted to pick.

I can't have a pedicure until they've grown out properly can I?

Months. I had a bruised toenail from a long walk last summer. Took until winter to grow out. Did it again in March (doh!), has hardly grown out at all yet...

My nails seem to need cutting far too often, a couple of weeks or so.

I lost a few, duw to injuries. Worst...the big one. Took 18 months to grow back.

you can buy stick on toenails from the shops or get fake acrylic nails put on your feet at the nail bar if you feel you need longer toenails xx

I lost a big one in Feb and it's 2/3 of the way there so guess it depends on the person?

If I want my nails to grow more quickly I gently rub/massage cuticle oil into the whole nail and the nail bed (the fleshy bit near your knuckle). It certainly can't cause any damage and it makes the nail look glossy and well moisturised. You can also just use Vaseline for the same purpose.

Dr Hauschka Neem oil helps. A bit.

wear socks. always. never let your hands touch your feet.

Footner, nail buffer, nail envy.

Footner will satisfy your picking needs (although don't pick until it's ready to come off) and get rid of any dry skin and cuticles around your nails and under the tips. It also makes them whiter

Nail buffer will smooth them out so no peeling or flaking parts.

Nail envy helps them grow, stops any splitting and breaking. Plus they'll look a bit nicer so you might be less tempted to pick.

So I had a pedicure a few weeks ago, feel so much better with nice pink toenails Smile

Big toenail is a decent length, the others are still quite short.

Do you think I should have some sort of gels or acrylics on them?

Ì think that toenails grow at about a quarter of the speed of fingernails.

Have lost a couple myself as a runner.

DH picks his toenails . Ì tell him off wjen I catch him doing it..

Try a decent footcream and use it twice daily. Ì am currently on body shop hemp. Ì use the hand cream which does wonders for my fingernails so I assume the foot cream should benefit your toenails.

Just concentrate on not touching them other than to apply cream. Let them grow. A
