Curly Girl method and dandruff

Following recommendations on here I started using Elvive anti-dandruff shampoo and it was brilliant, cleared up my scalp completely.

Now I’m doing the Curly Girl method, I can’t use it as it contains sulphites and I’m getting a flaky scalp again. Would love some recommendations for something CG approved that works as good as Elvive please!

I do a weekly cider vinegar rinse. It kills the yeast that produce dandruff and feels amazing!

Following - in same boat and really suffering 😢 I tried ACV but it made my hair all straw like and I couldn't get rid of the smell even if I washed it out.

So do you just run it into your scalp then rinse out? After shampooing?

Also interested in this since I’ve had to give up vosene!

I’ve been doing no poo for about 2 years but did get to the point when my scalp was itchy and just felt overloaded. I exfoliated my scalp with coffee grounds and it felt a lot better afterwards. However I also have dandruff and occasional fungal scalp growth and once in a while wash with Nizoral, which unfortunately is horrendously harsh and contains sulphites. I only do it once or twice a year though.

My 11 year old has terrible dandruff- she hates washing her hair but has always had scalp problems. Would a rinse in cider vinegar help?

Have heard Yes To Carrots do a good anti dandruff that’s CG approved. Might give it a go.
