Make up for an Ibiza wedding... I need your help please

I'm usually totally bare faced, but used to love make up... 3 kids over 14 years has put paid to any regular make up use (priority = 10 minutes more in bed!)

Getting married in Ibiza this august, it will be HOT. I want natural looking make up and think really I'll need it to look my best in the photos. Think I'll need a primer and sheer-ish base of some sort. Sunscreen in one of those. A mascara that won't run or smudge. Lipstick just a shade off lips, or a kind of lip stain?? What else I don't know... all suggestions welcome.

Whatever I use needs to last all day and not end up on the dress. Recommendations please! TIA Smile

Will you be there a few days before the wedding? You might be more tanned (don't get burned Shock ) so you might need less make-up than you think/

My DD is having LVL (perm+tint lashes) before we go on holiday (she's not getting married but she does like a full make-up )

Get your brows threaded and dyed maybe?

Yes lash tint and brows definitely planned, also many bottles of high spf sunscreen... Tan lines and a backless wedding dress = not good!

You’ll need a setting spray in the heat - I would recommend the Urban Decay All Nighter!

Setting spray...had never even heard of it, it sounds like a miracle product! Thanks Clandestine that's just the sort of info I need Smile think I will be purchasing that. I'd been thinking must buy long lasting make up but maybe I can trial that with what I've already got before spending £££'s

Would it be easier and cheaper to get a make up artist in Ibiza to do your wedding make up? Rather than buy a whole load of new products?

cuppateamum · 06/06/2018 12:24

Fog good point and maybe, but make up artist is IRO €200 so would have to buy a lot. And this is a nice excuse to get back into make up and buy some new stuff Smile

Clarins have a nice lipstain/tint in at the moment. In fact most counters have a holiday range.
Maybe a bb cream instead of foundation and a cheek stain under a bit of powder blush for staying power?

Try Laura Geller Balance and Glow I use this all the time over the ordinary serum foundation and on holiday on its own, also try tubing mascara, and burts bees lip balm they do one with colour.
