Maintaining my new 'do

Just had my hair cut. Looks lovely. Was just a dry cut so not styled or with any products. It's an inverted bob. How do I stop it going greasy so fast and also, how do I keep it looking shiny and smooth and lovely - other than comb it every 5 mins.

Try not to put conditioner on your roots, this will help prevent it from becoming too greasy too quickly. You could also use a root lift spray after washing which I always find keeps my hair grease-free for longer. I quite like the Nanogen one.
To get it smooth and shiny, your best bet is a weekly hair mask that hydrates the hair and adds shine. Or there are lots of nice shine sprays out there, I like the Davines one as it doesn't look too fake shiny.
