How to wear this/any tips to stop brooches from drooping?

So I have this brooch. It's been knocking around since I was given it as a teen, and I've always loved it but never figured out how to actually wear the bloody thing. My two ideas so far are:

  1. high up on bust following the line of my collarbone
  2. in hair - this is purely theoretical as whilst I love the idea, my hair is too fine to actually support it.

There's a long straight pin fastening at the back. The brooch itself is pretty heaving and if I just pin is to something it sags downwards.

Any advice welcome, including alternatives to pinning it on clothes!

I keep brooches pinned to heavy woollen coats so they don’t distort the material.

Does it still pull if you attach it vertically? That's how I'd wear it - on a coat as suggested. If it's not huge, could you put it on a chain?

Can you attach it to your top and bra for extra support?

If you want to wear it on something other than a coat, a piece of felt in a similar colour to your top would help support the weight of it and stop it pulling.
