Shaving 'down there'

Hi All,

I like to fully remove all pubic hair completely.

I've had a wax before but I don't like that you need to leave the hair to grow back, to have it done again so I'm a firm shaving fan.

My only problem? I always seem to end with a shaving rash or little bumps. How can I stop this?

Laser.

Which always brings to mind "Mini-me, stop humping the laser" Grin

I always "prime" with baby oil first, and then when it's all done, moisturise with coconut oil!

tinyhappyalien · 02/06/2018 13:58

Isn't lasting expensive?

Oh wow, never thought of baby oil! Is this instead of shave foam?

Following! Have a lumea but can never be arsed

trigger2 · 02/06/2018 14:50

Following with interest, especially about the baby oil

Now I just need to dig out my yoga dvd ..... lol

The stubble really irritates me - I have thick hair, and so I just trim.

o0o0o · 02/06/2018 15:21

I second laser. YES it is expensive but one year later and I have the equivalent of a Homer Simpson head of hair after not doing anything for about 6 months. Might shave off the two wisps before my next vacay but I've grown quite fond of them Grin

MistAmougstElephants · 02/06/2018 15:30

O0o0o...your so descriptive i'm having images of a homer Simpson vaja and my mind just can't process it 😆 im like a computer that needs to be restarted. Thanks for that Grin

Baby oil routine goes something like this (whenever I can be arsed)

Rub it on and leave to soak/settle for 5 min whilst the shower warms or bath runs or whatever you do before you shave, and then shower as normal for 5-10 minutes until your pores are opened (no idea how to judge this Grin)

Then you just shave using foam or gel as normal, but you need a lot less as it's softer and easier to shave off. Do it SLOWLY! Every time I do a rushed half arsed attempt it ends in a horrible bumpy mess.
Then rinse, come out, put on some coconut oil (cliché mumsnet advice Grin) and there you have it. A smooth lady garden Grin

You've changed my life, Tried and tested - it worked a treat!

DameXanaduBramble · 04/06/2018 14:43

My recipe is baby oil, tea tree oil and coconut oil mixed together - beats foam hands down. But yes, slowly is key.

DameXanaduBramble · 04/06/2018 14:44

And exfoliate first, then get it hot and steamy.
