Fabric experts: can I dye this?

I like this dress but I don’t really wear cream so I’d like to dye it. Might it work, or would it just end up a vague shitty greige colour?

Actually it says it’s 100% cotton, that should work, right? I know the stitching probably won’t dye but I can live with that.

It's cotton so it should but if the thread is polyester it may not take so you would have white ish thread . Apart from that yeah I think it would dye .

Think about using Procion MX dyes rather than dylon- colourfulness and saturation is much improved and the process is broadly the same. Paula Burch gives really amazing information if you Google her name and Procion dyeing. You can buy the dye on Amazon.

The elastic at the back won't dye either.
