I need a bag that fits hand luggage restrictions, big enough to hold change of clothes and shoes, toiletries, with a separate pocket suitable for a laptop and that can be zipped close. Preferably black, and smart looking as will be taking it into work.

I know le pliage is often recommended on her but I’m not keen on it really, anyone have any other suggestions please?!

Kipling superwork? Pretty light to carry too.

This would be big enough but doesn't have a separate laptop pocket - I use a neoprene sleeve.

Do you want a carry on suitcase? I have just been to the Samsonite shop at Bicester village and bought a black carry on case from them. You cannot buy it on line but it has 4 wheels, a compartment in each half with elastic stays, a detachable toiletries bag, a lap top sleeve and a front zipped section if you prefer that for the computer and a top pocket for handy items or whatever you want! It was £134 but it’s brilliant. Amazon have similar from Samdonite for more money.

I am currently away with it and it holds enough for several days if you pack carefully!

I have a black osprey backpack that would fit the bill. Husband has a similar option from north face. Discrete/Smart enough, doesn’t scream ‘nick me’, easy to carry, fits loads - maybe a week if I pack light, small enough to count as a personal item if needs be and I can sprint through airports/stations with it if I have to.

Knomo might suit you - many of their bags have padded laptop compartments. All of the ones I have do.

I love the Jennie bag!
