Do comfy, wide fit high shoes exist? If so where?

I'm short, with frustratingly wide feet.

I've got plenty of pairs of sandals as these tend to be more forgiving width-wise.

In flat shoes go for a size 5, which are wide enough unless I can find a wide fit size 4.
When it comes to flats I steer clear of loafer styles because they tend to make my wide feet look wider.

Wide winter boots are pricey but fairly easy to find.

I'm struggling to find heels which are wide fit and comfy.
I've got a cupboard full of heels that I can't wear for more than an hour at a time.
I need smart, every day shoes with height that I can wear with summer dresses or to the office.
They can't be too high because I'm short and very high heels look out of proportion on me! I never said this would be easy

I've never tried wedges because a) I lived through the 70s and b) I think they look incredibly stylish on some women but mumsy on others.
Though I could possibly be persuaded that they are the way forward if I saw some really nice ones.

I used to like Duo shoes but it looks like they're concentrating on boots only now.

I second M&S. Comfortable and a wide range of styles!

Gabor are nice, classic and very comfortable

I have had the M&S wide fit espadrilles for the last 2 Summers. They are very comfortable, but I trash the rope soles fairly quickly. Brora wedge or flatform espadrilles also seem to come up quite wide, but they are significantly more expensive.

I'd like leather or suede, particularly for work.

I like these but the reviews are poor.

I also like kitten heels but I'd prefer them in one of the plain colours like red. They only seem to do the plain colours in standard fit though.

Van Dal do wide fit. They use lovely soft leather.

When you say heels are uncomfortable, what's uncomfortable about them? Do they hurt your back or your feet? Is the heel too high? Do they have enough cushion in the sole?

Personally, I don't really wear heels much. But I do think M&S are quite good quality for the price. Lots of cushioning in the sole compared to other shoes I have!

Asos have a decent line of wide shoes. So do plus size retailers like simply be.

These Gabor ones are nice in blue or red suede Gabor

Fatted non-wide fit heels hurt my feet because they pinch and cause blisters.
As they stretch to fit my foot it ruins the look of the shoe.

Nine West do wide fitting shoes that aren’t frumpy!

The Nine West website is down cardi and I can't find another stockist who sells their wide fit.

Dune are worth a look.

Also Asos, but less likely to be leather.

Was going to suggest Dune too but I see someone has beat me too it. Try shoeaholics too. My feet err on the wide side but I can actually get away with regular fit in Nine West or Dune.
