Stinky Skechers

I love my Skechers for summer - they're so comfy but... how can I stop them getting so, so stinky?!

I wear them without socks as they'd look pretty daft with socks or those shoe liner thingies, and they're not very breathable so I guess my feet are just sweating in them.

I wash them in the machine every few weeks and they come out beautifully, but after only a couple of wears they're back to being really smelly again.

I don't have smelly feet and I don't have the same problem with any other shoes.

How do you keep your Skechers from giving off a putrid, sweaty stink?!

Freeze them!

Wash them in the machine with Halo. It's designed for sweaty sportswear.

Are you making sure that they're completely dry before wearing them again? I leave mine for 4 or 5 days after washing them.

I was in JL today and they had a much wider range of shoe liner things than I had seen hitherto...

CrazyHippo · 30/05/2018 14:06

Scholl fresh step. Its like deodorant for shoes but IMO 1000 x better than the odor eaters ones.

My skechers make my feet stink but no other shoes/trainers etc do, like yourself. I spray the skechers and my feet like you would your morning deo and it prevents the smell.

welshmist · 30/05/2018 15:37

Do not wear them every day. Apparently that is how the smell comes back. So if you love a design buy two pairs and alternate as well as washing them.

OH skechers are fine but his crocs, phew they get thrown outside and he has to wash and put tcp on his feet...

goose1964 · 30/05/2018 16:34

Cat litter, leave overnight and it should remove the smell, I assume it absorbs moisture

MaybeDoctor, I like hitherto, and intend to start saying it ( off thread).
