What can i do with my hair?

Obviously name changed in case anyone recognises me!
Need hair advice. I have nice curls on a good day but sometimes (today!) It can be so fluffy. I've got grown out highlights which are being redone in a weeks time. I have to part it in a certain way cos it's a bit thin in certain places if I part it wrong.

Also it's soet of heavy at the front and I just don't like it. I had a side fringe which I've grown out but I still really hate the front I think it looks awful. I've got a cowslick that I have to just go with.

Help!

What can i do with my hair?

I've cropped it a bit too much but it actually comes to just below my shoulders.

How much time do you like to spend on it? How often do you need to wash it?

I think I’d go shorter, a bit Kristen Wiig in Bridesmaid length.

I usually wash it every other day. I put a hair mask on the hair day. One that was recommended on mumsnet and my curls looked incredible on one side. Really lovely.

Hadnt thought of going shorter. Bit nervous too! What should I do about the front? I've had major jaw surgery which has changed my face shape and next week getting braces off after 2 years so need a makeover!

Why don't you try curly girl before you decide to have it cut
You could get some lovely curls

I would go darker at the roots and smudge some highlights at the ends- sort of ombré. Take about 2 inches ff the length, and if you can go for a more definite side parting.

Us a bit of dry shampoo through the ends to give it volume and shape.

just wanted to add I think it's lovely - it looks very soft and natural and in good condition. I wouldn't touch the colour - looks very Parisienne. Go for soft layers, nothing blunt and work with
your natural texture. Use your cow lick to add volume at the front by parting it so the cow lick is exaggerated.

Thank you. What is curly girl? Is that a product?

Curly girl is a regime to bring out the maximum curl in your hair
There are threads in here, FB groups and websites/YouTube

I will have a look thank you. I really don't like the side fringe. Anyone got any suggestions?
