Be honest, is this ok for a semi-formal event?

I do NOT want to spend a lot of money. Small, size 14 with big norks, 51, light auburn hair. Too young for me? (I hate that I'm even asking that ...)

TBH you need to try it on. Everything looks different on me to how I imagine it (sometimes am pleasantly surprised)
In theory great cut and colour for you. Definitely not too young!

I love the colour. I never wear colours, always blacks, greys, khakis etc so I would never normally pick something like that.

What jewellery? Gold or silver? And shoes?

It's gorgeous and a bit different and I love the colour. How tall are you though? If you're short the leg length may be too long.

I am fed up of everyone recommending jumpsuits for everything but I do think that is really lovely and agree it looks like it might be good for someone petite. Tey it!

Damn you! I really want that too now! It's a glorious colour. I'm very short so would be interesting to see how it works but I'd wear it to work with a camisole underneath.

As a fellow shortarse I actually think a bit longer would be more flattering: on the model it’s at a v unflattering length on the calf. In any event a straight hem trouser is very easy to take up if need be. I really like it!

I've ordered it! I've heard that delivery is a bit slow Twinkle but I don't need it for another month so hopefully not that slow!

It's absolutely gorgeous. I think it would be fine for a semi-formal event as long as you accessorise well. Heels and 'done' hair and make up will dress it up nicely.

That's absolutely beautiful. Go for it OP. I'd go metallic on the accessories, either silver or gold, depending if you're warm or cool toned.

Showing size 14 as sold out, so hope you got it in time. It's lovely. Wish I had a flatter stomach to be able to wear it.

It’s lovely, I would go for silver shoes etc or if you are feeling bold, maybe a burnt orange.

I've got some sandals, would they be OK. I don't really want to buy another pair of silver ones if I can help it. I'm not sure what my colouring is I'm a bit clueless! I'm Scottish which means I'm a bit pale, though will be having a spray tan before the event.

Looks lovely. I love a jumpsuit! The only thing I’d be wary of is whether it has any stretch... jumpsuits in non stretchy fabric can sometimes look a bit ‘pulled’ if they don’t fit perfectly. Hope it looks good on.

Well it arrived this morning and .. I absolutely LOVE it.

Pros - Gorgeous colour and the fit and length perfect. It does have stretch (thank God!). Tried it on with gold sparkly sandals and it looked really nice. Fantastic for what I want it for.

Cons - it's not 'a' class quality I suppose but what I would expect for the price and after some of the tat I've received from Mint Velvet and Cos recently I'm quite impressed.
