How do i get my make up to stay on all day?

I usually put my make up on about 8am. By 3 pm my foundation has come off.
I use the body shop tea tree solution, followed by the the time delay wrinkle reduce oil, the nivea mens after shave balm as primer ( after a bit of googleing i saw it and picked it up randomly) and then no7 stay perfect foundation. I leave a few minutes inbetween layers to let it do its thing ( actually its to deal with the children) sometimes i add a loose powder over the top but that just makes my face look dry, and it doesnt actually help.
I really cant be bothered to do it all over again.
I really would prefer to not have to change foundations because i have 2.5 bottles left ( bought on a 3 for 2 )
Any tips? Thanks in advance.

Body shop do a make up fix spray that I find a actually works. My slap stayed on all day yesterday for example in the sweaty betty heat.

Face primer (Laura mercier/ benefit) and eye primer (urban decay) - two separate products. Followed by make up fixing spray (urban decay)

Primer, light powder of choice to fix foundation, then anti-shine make up fixing spray.

Urban decay fixing spray.
It won't budge

You need a proper primer.

My favourites are The Ordinary one and This Works In Transit. I have dry skin, so depending on your skin type you might need different ones.

I also hear smashbox primers are meant to be good but can't vouch for them personally.

DSD also swears by the Mac fix spray (can't remember what it's called though).

I wouldn’t use an oil at the start of the day. Best used at night as it’ll make your skin slippery. Powder - if the one you’re using isn’t right, try another. Then setting spray.

Thank you. Will pick up a fixing spray. The reason i wear the oil is because my skin gets quite dry around my mouth and forehead/ eyebrow area, and i prefer a more dewey look rather than a matte finish. I dont wear any eyeshadow because i have no idea how to apply it. So that isnt a problem. Lots of eyeliner and mascara.
Will also try a new primer and powder. Thanks again.
