Worn with smart top and shoes, yes.

Doobigetta · 29/05/2018 18:43

Surely it depends on the dress code. Casual or business casual yes, business dress no.

LondonGin · 29/05/2018 18:43

Yep. All the time. Silk too tucked in. Pumps or loafers

parrotonmyshoulder · 29/05/2018 18:50

Any links to nice ones? Mine are from H&M and good but not smart enough. I need dark colours.

bingohandjob · 29/05/2018 19:19

Yes, especially in this humid weather. I've found them really comfortable. Got navy ones from ASOS.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 29/05/2018 19:21

Nice on other people - make me look fat!

AnnieOH1 · 29/05/2018 19:23

I wouldn't if the men were wearing suit and tie (and I say that because it's easier to judge the culture), they're more on the smart casual side of things imho which is great if that's okay in your office.

Provided you teamed them with a smart shirt, jumper or jacket I don't think you'll have an problem with them looking too casual. =)

I work in banking and I’d say no to a sand colour except on Fridays. Yes to chinos in navy/black/other dark colours though. I’d wear with a smart top/shirt, ballet pumps and sometime a blazer or cashmere cardigan. Zara do great ones for work.

rainbowfudgee · 29/05/2018 19:26

Yes but I'm a teacher so dress code is smart casual. I wear with ballet pumps, a smart top and cardigans. Not cutting edge but practical for sitting on the floor etc in infants!

stoplickingthetelly · 29/05/2018 19:49

Think it very much depends on your dress code. I'm a secondary teacher and I wouldn't be able to wear them. We have quite a strict dress code though compared to some other schools.

APermanentlyExhaustedPigeon · 29/05/2018 19:56

I think with the right top/shoes, they look great! My office is smart casual and I’ve always wanted a pair of chinos, but I’m a size 20 and every pair I’ve tried on look awful. I have just had to accept that not everyone can wear everything!
