Hi all,

My trust Longchamp Le pillage looks a bit grubby, any success stories with washing them in the machine?
Thanks

You can try. Spray any grubby bits with Dr Beckmann pre-wash stain remover and wash the bag on its own with a good quality detergent like Ariel.

I have washed one of my old longchamps and it turned out ok. The nylon came up clean but the leather bits didn't really change.

Threw it in the machine with powder and softener. Dried it upside down and inside out. Will happily do it with my other longchamps when the need arises.

Pop it inside a pillowcase first and maybe wash it with an old towel in the drum at the same time. This will protect it a bit.

I've done it and mine survived! Think I put it in on a short wash rather than a hand wash with Ariel powder.

Right I'm going to tackle it ! Short cold cycle with a bit of stain remover....... wish me luck !

Onthewrongside can you let me know how it turns out please? I have an oil stain on mine and was thinking of putting it in the washing machine.

Don't wash a white one. I did and the leather leaked brown stains down the bag. Binned

Bugger - mine is orange ! Do you think it will be a disaster..... can I take it to a dry cleaner ?
