Summer dresses

I really really want a summer dress or 2 this year but am clueless....any recommendations on summer dresses that won't break the bank (I'm a size 14-16 and 5"9)

I'm a big fan of the Boden jersey dresses. They suit me and the fabric is forgiving.

Look on everything five pounds

I have 3 summer dresses one is fully lined and loose so will double up as a winter top with leggings

Check the material bit some nice dresses

I second boden but find them on the same size so go for a 16
Seasalt and weird fish have lovely pull on jersey dresses which dont need ironing.

I’m a similar size to you OP. Sea salt are not great for well endowed ladies.

Second dorothy p.tall. all my summer dresses come from there. The fit and flare ones hide a multitude of bumps.

I've bought quite a few summer dresses from Me & Em in the past (sales), but their prices have really got too high for me to shop from there now. Fantastic fabrics though - wash and wear brilliantly. Worth looking on ebay.

For me the key to a good summer dress is natural fabrics. I tend to avoid linen in dresses - too much of a nightmare to maintain, but I do like cotton. Cos is a good call for natural fabrics and lovely dresses.

Also depends on the style you're looking for - I tend to go for quite unstructured dresses as they're cooler on hot days.

Matalan have some nice stuff in at the moment. I’ve just bought a couple of play suits for my holiday, and they have loads of dresses too.
