Clothes for tall pre-pubescent 12 year old boy

Hi, we've been very lucky and had a lot of hand-me-downs over the years but they've dried up and I'm at a loss as to where to shop. My year 7 boy is 5'5 and so too big for a lot of children's clothes but he's still pre-pubescent and so too narrow (and short?) for men's clothes.

Can anyone recommend somewhere for some basics like shorts and T-shirts?

Zara was good for DSS at a similar age and height, although that was a few years ago so can’t comment on their current ranges.

Next clothes are perfect for for his body shape and go up to 16 years. But only do online for 12+ yrs clothing.

Also matalan do some slim fit xs men's tracksuit bottoms that are fine for him.

Tesco men's range Xs/S also fit him really well.

And I just bought ds a pack of 2 shirts from Tesco age 14 and they fit well.

Shorts not shirts!

Ive found some shops like Primark and H&M have men’s X-small that fit my almost 13 DS.

Thanks, they all sound good options. I'll get looking online and then see if I can drag him to some shops.

T K Maxx have unusual sizes for men sometimes.

Next for basic jeans. I buy size XS t shirts from Asda too.

Next is good for tall slim children.
