Rixo London dress sizing

Anyone know if a large really fits like a 12-14? Have seen a dress I really like but it's only available in a large. In a top this might be fine for me but almost certainly wouldn't be able to make it work in the arse area.

It should fit but ime as most of their clothes are silk, and pretty thin, the seams can give over the parts that have to stretch most (iyswim). Bit of a flaw, they're lovely designs but don't last that long. And some of blouses seem cheaply made (eg just elastic cuffs) for c£200! I have the Georgia leopard skirt and had to have the seams strengthened as the material was starting to rip at the hips.

I only ever tried on one dress of theirs, the Camellia and it was quite tight across the bust so needed an M at a small 8 at the time but it really was only down to the bust, despite not being very booby but proportional to my size larger than average, everywhere else it was very loose. So if boobs are proportional to your size I'd say the sizing is correct, otherwise size up.

Cheers. bialy I know what you mean about the thinning seams and as you say it's quite a lot to spend for something so delicate.

When I went back to look at the dress it had sold out but I think I'll hold out for an xl anyway.
