Piercing advice

Hi
Not sure if this is the right thread. I had a daith piercing a couple of months ago, the piercer put in a bar and it has healed really well. I want to change the earring to something pretty but need to find something completely nickel free and someone to insert it for me.
The place I had it done won't insert jewellery they don't supply and they only have basic bars and hoops.
So far the only place I've found is Maria Tash at Liberty and that is seriously £££££. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Congrats on your daith! Do you have a pal with nimble fingers you'd trust to pop it in for you? You could find a youtube video with advice - I had my brother change my rook bar for me many moons ago.

Find a mate with/familiar with piercings and get them to do it for you? You might need small pliers or something depending on what you're intending to put in

Try a different piercing studio! I've found if I buy the jewellery for them they've been happy to put it in for me. If I had bought it elsewhere, I'd ask them how much they would charge to change it (but considering it takes less than 30 seconds, I'd be surprised if they asked for much!)

Go to another piercing studio. If you purchase the jewellery there they will probably insert for free. Look for studios that stock anotometal and industrial strength brand jewellery. They make lovely titanium jewellery and the gemstones etc are lifetime guaranteed. Pretty without the big ££££s of Maria Tash. I have an industrial strength hoop with pink flower gems in my daith. Piercer even anodised it rose gold.
Qualiti Body Jewellery is another good make and very low prices. Not sure what their range is like for the daith but I have a lovely opal stud in my nose by them. Cost me £15.
Get on google. Look up safe piercing uk and uk association of professional piercers for shops near you. Then you know you won’t be likely to get nickel jewellery or any other crap.

My DD has had new jewellery inserted by MetalMorphosis (TopShop in London Oxford St, there's one in Hackney but they said they stock less )

She;s had titanium and gold barbells and hoops (about £40) and a really pretty opal stud on titanium.

She;s under 18 , had the piercing done locally but again very limited in the stock hey carried.

Offer to pay the studio to insert your non shop bought jewellery? (Daith heart daith heart daith heart!).

Hi everyone, thanks for all the replies! In answer to GrannyGrissle the studio where I had my piercing done won't insert jewellery from any other source as they say they don't know how hygenically it has been made/handled.
It looks like I'm off to Metalmorphosis.
Thanks again
