Whitening Toothpaste

I always was obsessed with a white smile but never had the results that I was hoping for. I end up purchasing more and more expensive products with very disappointing results :( Recently though I got a chance to test a Pearl Drops Luminous Bright White toothpaste and it was amazing. I seen results from a first use which I didn't expect it at all. It's even on special offer at the moment at Boots so I stock up on it just in case 🤗
I was just wondering if anybody have their to go toothpaste that they love? What do you normally use guys? Or maybe you have a special routine?

What is your "am I being unreasonable?" question?

liz70 · 25/05/2018 12:12

Where's the Spam smiley when you need it?

Nikephorus · 25/05/2018 12:17

I've found white fluorescent paint works well. Just one coat and I'm a changed person. My smile is great AND I can always be seen in the dark. It's even on special offer somewhere (probably).

Hi there, sorry 😐 if I wasn't very clear. It's my first post in here and just wanted to open a chat 🤗 I was just wandering if anybody here had something that they tried that works really well for them 😘

This would probably do better on the 'Chat' forum - but yes, pearl drops for me. Tried Blanx and thought it was crap

Marlenaff7 · 25/05/2018 13:10

I think I was completely misunderstood 😂 I wasn't advertising Boots at all I just thought it was a good deal. Thank you for taking part in a discussion, for sure you made me laugh 😂 😘

Has anyone tried using this who has veneers? Always worried about staining.

Marlenaff7 · 25/05/2018 13:14

Great, thank you for the advice, I am still learning how to use this site but I love it so far 🤗 That's what I thought about Blanx and iWhite too, absolutely useless 😐

I like Pearl Drops for the effect it has on my teeth but it also turned my lips and gums bright pink which is a bit weird, so that put me off.

Okaaaaay · 27/05/2018 08:04

I think they should he a refund

Pfftlife · 27/05/2018 08:06

Charcoal powder works really well to whiten my teeth

Marlenaff7 · 27/05/2018 08:51

I never tried charcoal powder only charcoal toothpastes but I was always tempted 🤔I was just scared of the powdery consistency 😂

The powder makes you look like you've been chewing on a bit of coal, it's scary at first but the results are amazing

MaireadMacSweeney · 27/05/2018 20:45

nothing sold over the counter in the uk whitens teeth.

^^ This. My dentist also told me this, saying toothpaste manufacturers should not be allowed to put whitening claims on their products as they just don't and can't work.

You need something with hydrogen peroxide in and the only way to get that is to have your dentist whiten your teeth or buy products from outside the uk.

DarklyDreamingDexter · 27/05/2018 21:06

There's a style and beauty section fo this kind of thing, it's not an AIBU.

specialsubject · 27/05/2018 21:09

the claims are all 'helps' and 'appearance' - this is how the beauty 'industry' sells useless snake oil.

Eucryl tooth powder for £1.50 from wilkos.
works better than any of the more expensive whitening pastes and I've tried a lot of them. I Usually try the more expensive ones and turn my nose up at cheaper ones but I used the powder after my partner bought it and it's been the best one, not luminous white but there's a massive difference. For 1.50 it's worth a try.

Marlenaff7 · 27/05/2018 21:14

WOW that was a bit strong 🙈 there is no need to call people that! I just wanted to know what other mums do to keep their smile at their best. I had never had professionay whitened my teeth and had never used anything super strong etc. so maybe I had nothing to compare to but I was very happy with the result that I achieved. So what do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Tried loads only thing thats worked for me is charcoal ( powder, not the toothpaste). Not dazzling white but certainly got rid of all the stains!

Marlenaff7 · 27/05/2018 21:17
