High waisted tights for big lasses

I’m 5’9 and a UK 16/18 and it’s bloody hard to find tights which aren’t... incredibly tight. They’re WAY too tight on my thighs and ahem ample buttocks and the waistband does’t come well above my belly button and i want it to! Has anyone of a similar size found any big comfy nude tights for summer? I’ve had a look at ones from specialist plus size shops like Yours but they’re so expensive.

Maternity tights are nice and roomy and seem to do the trick for me.

Primark biggest size tights (only ever bought the highest denier) fit me very well. Size 22 on bottom but 5foot 0.

I’m same height and size as you and find that Wolford Neon 40 tights in XL fit me best (Neon is the style name, they are not neon coloured )

I gave in and tried Heist tights this year (I’m a 14/16). They feel really different but I love them so far, they’ve washed well and am getting more. Loads of discount codes about at the mo.

I am 16/18 and 5 11 - M&S XL are the best for me. Practically up to my bra and keep up all day.

heist are fantastic - only ones I buy now. On the spendy side but they last months per pair

Aristoc hourglass tights are very high waisted and, while they’re no substitute for the M&S waist shapers that I could pull on and off in a second flat (RIP), they’re nice and stretchy around the thighs and middle.

I have exactly the same issue & after much trial and error I can recommend... Asda! Bought some in an emergency when my M&S tights refused to stay up, only to find that they’re ace.

There are also special “plus size” tights available on eBay which are super long, sucky-inny and comfortable - they’re about £4 per pair or thereabouts.

I am 5’10 and a 16 and I swear by autograph at Mand S, used the sizing chart on the back and they have been great. All my other tights have been binned.

Ellboo have you tried Heist 15 deniers and how well do they last? I love their 80 denier tights in winter but I’m scared to try the nude ones in case I ladder them

I’ve only tried 80s I’m afraid. I bet if the 15s laddered quickly they’d refund you, you know.
