Cover up for this dress?

Hi can anyone help me! I've bought this dress for a wedding in June but hate my arms and I know the sleeves will be a little shorter than I'd like. Looking for a jacket or shrug that could work with this dress. Anyone got any ideas?

Cover up for this dress?

OP the trouble with covering up delicate looking dresses, is that you negate the reason for wearing them.

It's got a lovely sillouhette which will be hidden with a jacket or (God forbid!) a shrug.

Shrugs don't look good...ever! A jacket won't work with a lacy dress.

I hate my arms too so I never buy short sleeved dresses unless it's a cotton one for summer days and I can wear a thin cotton cardigan or a denim jacket with it.

I would look for something with sleeves instead.

I am a bit militant in my hatred of the shrug though. I think they belong with fascinators.

Oh, it's gorgeous. Just put a little fake tan in your arms and go with it. No one will be looking at your arms. They'll be too busy admiring the dress.

M and S have thin wrap , shawl like thing in silver grey or gold.

Wonder if this would be too much lace going on.

Is that your wedding dress or are you a guest?

Is it a Chi Chi dress? I have one in a very similar shape but not lace. I was wondering about a cover up too but I think only a light wrap will work and then only if absolutely necessary.

Yes it's a Chi Chi dress - the cut of the dresses is really flattering anjd hides my spare tyre! I''m a guest at a wedding. I did think that a shrug wasn't going to work! bah! perhaps i'll just have to try the fake tan thing - I'm olive skinned but looking a bit yellow at the moment!

A bit of fake tan will smooth out your arms and it will be fine OP!
