I want white trousers. Please help me

Not to be misread as needing help BECAUSE I AM FOOLISH ENOUGH TO WANT WHITE TROUSERS...

I just really, really like white trousers; they work with my (at least in my mind) pared-down, minimalist aesthetic

I like wearing them in summer with navy, black, even sometimes a brightly coloured top.

I don't do summer dresses, really, and shorts look ridiculous on me, but I'm molto comfortable in nice white trousers.

I've lost weight and my FAVOURITE ones from the last bazillion years now drape down to my crotch. It's not a good look.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some nice, non-polyester, non-transparent, realtively smart (ie not baggy linen) white trousers. I like the kind of Gap bi-stretch style, but I've trawled the website (and every other bloody website for the last hour) and I'm not finding anything in white.

I like cotton, or a high cotton content. I like something reasonably skinny/straight (although this may be hopelessly dated, now? Are we meant to be going looser?)

I'd rather avoid white jeans but I'm secretly still a sucker for that passe Liz Hurley look so I'd be prepared to consider white jeans if there's nothing else.

Basically, has anybody seen anything/got anything nice?

Hush girlfriends are too loose/baggy for what I'm going for. I quite like the Boden Richmond capri but they've not got any in my blooming size and anyway I don't LOVE them...

Boden Trafalgar are the bollocks.

I had Boden white skinnies years ago, and after experiencing the horror that is the Next white trouser department (felt like the plastic pants you used to put over terry nappies) and M&S (ok but no holy grail) I thought I'd go back to Boden. Love them.

mercury, I love love the style of those uniqlo ones so much that I might pop in to our local branch and try them tomorrow. I'm generaly massively averse to too high a polyester content as I get a bit, um, sweaty. But I like the look of those so will try them on.

Phase Eight have some white trousers. I got the white cropped ones last year, but they're a tad see through, ok with a long top though.
