Clinique Moisture Surge formula changed - other gel moisturisers?

I'm two weeks into a pot of the new formula MS and my skin does NOT like it - I have 3 lovely new spots. I am gutted as it was the only moisturiser that has worked for me recently.

Can anyone recommend a light weight gel moisturiser for spot-prone skin?

I have just bought the neutrogena hydro boost gel moisturizer. No spots so far, it's very light.

I've tried the body shop vitamin C one, which is quite gel like and I really like it. Disappointing to hear about the moisture surge as I previously really liked it.

Kelly - yes, I have been eyeing up the Neutrogena one - it looks hopeful.

Aubergines - thanks - ill look it up. I am SO disappointed about the Moisture Surge. I'm thinking I might stick it out for another couple of weeks to be sure. I have had a stressful month, so it could be that. But normally, it's products that cause my acne.

Rodial do one which is amazing, but expensive. Nip+Fab do a similar one which is much cheaper. I haven't had any reactions from either of them, and I react to most things.

The Rodial gel was in the most recent M&S advent calendar and was fairly universally loved on the thread. I had been using the Nip+Fab version daily for over a year before I tried the Rodial one and I think it's almost as good. (Rodial and Nip+Fab are owned by the same company, just a different target market.)

My DS ( yes DS!) is loving a lidl gel moisturiser.
Him and his gf were raving about it last week. My friend joined in and said she like it as well!

Black - that's interesting, thank you. I have always been tempted by Nip+Fab glycolic products, but I already use a prescription retinoid + salicylic acid product so would be too much. Will research!

not - a ds who is interested in skin care - my dd14 and ds12 clearly have a long way to go! I buy stuff for them and watch it gathering dust...

I found the neutrogena gel v perfumed. My skin didn’t like it.
Will look out for Lidl!
