Aussie shampoo making me itch? What natural products are there?

My scalp has been an itchy, firey mess for a few months and it's only just occurred to me that it's probably my shampoo that I swapped to after Xmas. I even thought I had nits. I've just bought some tgel. Do you think that will help?

Anyway it's got me thinking about buying less chemically products but I'm quite poor. What do people recommend for the following:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Bar soap
Body moisturiser
Mascara
Hairspray

I'm googling away but not really getting anywhere.

Green people's shampoo is incredible. Best I've ever used.

Also Faith in Nature products.look on biggreensmile.com.

I'm now using Lush solid shampoo and it's fab. One bar (no plastic) has lasted 5 months SmileSmile

I can second the recommendation for Faith in Nature shampoo & conditioner - I have very sensitive skin, and they are good for me & nice to use.

At a more budget level, Suma do an own brand shampoo that is very good value - I've had the plain & the lavender versions & was pleased with it, worked well & lasted a long time.

I like Jäson shampoo- the apricot one. It totally stopped my scalp itching. Also doesn’t break the bank.

Also download the think dirty app and you can scan products in shops to find the ‘cleanest’ ones

Avoid anything with sls in it ( sodium lauryl sulphate). Try Shea moisture Jamaican. Castor oil shampoo. It suits me and all four of my kids and we all have different hair types..
However, you may need to use a clarifying shampoo which will have sls in it one more to get rid of the silicone build up that's the Aussie range has lots of.

I get Faith in Nature at a TK Max. It’s quite cheap for the big bottles.

Thanks for this! Are conditioners not normally a problem? I was using tresemme heat defence spray too, but have cut that out this week.

I'm using Palmolive bar soap. Could that be making my skin itchy? Or just dry? Sorry, im putting a shopping list together!

Faith in nature.
Neal's Yard also make a very bland base shampoo as part of their Create range. You can add essential oils to it or leave it completely neutral. Also their baby range is fab , my kids both have eczema and sensitivities but not with those particular Neal's Yard products.

simple bar soap?

Canwejustrelaxnow · 22/05/2018 08:35

Thanks. I'm getting confused with ingredients lists and things described as natural when not.

Would the tgel act as a clarifying shampoo?

even water is a chemical. natural things include dengue fever and sunburn.

loads of babble on beauty products. assume it is all lies, because it is.

Thanks. My knowledge just isn't good enough. I feel itchy and sore all over. I use persil non bio washing liquid.
