What sandals will be your go-to this summer?

need a new pair, toying with birks but not sure...
Which sandals are you getting/already got and can't live without?

Ideally comfy flats!

For the problem trotters (and much less £) these are pretty decent and very comfy

BradleyPooper · 21/05/2018 23:12

Birkenstock Arizonas with the soft footbed in velvet grey, love them to bits, super comfy (can't get on with the normal footbed ones).

Also had a pair of Dr Scholl Hindas last year, like walking on clouds, still looking brand new, love them

didsomeonesaybunny · 21/05/2018 23:13

So I got these for my birthday www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/1039945/saint_laurent/woven-leather-slides (ridiculously expensive IMO) but they are very comfortable.

I picked up these last week and they are very eye catching and comfortable m.zara.com/uk/en/multicoloured-straps-sandals-p12612301.html?v1=6251087&v2=805003

SequinsOnEverything · 21/05/2018 23:27

I love those zara ones!

whyhastherumgone · 22/05/2018 08:17

@anyfucker 'problem trotters' is such an excellent description of my cloven hoofs! Those Debenhams sandals are really nice, similar to a pair I tried on in Schuh actually but they weren't wide enough - those look a bit more forgiving.

@cherrypie those are nice too!! I didn't realise fitflop had upped their game so much.

Thos Zara ones are lovely - particularly in the coloured version

@bradleypooper do the soft footbeds wear well still? I think I might try the soft ones, as it's the soles that I don't seem to get on with

AnyFucker · 22/05/2018 08:32

The Debenhams ones are very wide. Have a look at the reviews. A fiver off too !

Ollivander84 · 22/05/2018 09:41

Palmairas for me

SquatBetty · 22/05/2018 13:25

Birkenstock Gizehs again but sadly not Havaianas this summer as I've got plantar fasciitis in my right foot. So I've bought a couple of pairs of Fitflops with the iqushion support and they have made a huge difference.

whyhastherumgone · 22/05/2018 15:01

anyone had moshulus? Look slightly more reasonably priced than Birks - I only like the toe loop style though.

I have just bought some of the Fitflop Lulus that Strawberryblonde posted, based on the rave reviews on here. Mine are black denim and were £40 from Amazon. They are indeed supremely comfy for my problem trotters, but they have dyed my feet a bit black!

Otherwise I am a confirmed Birkenstocks fan - my go to comfiest are Gizehs but I also have some Arizona. They need wearing in but are then very supportive and comfortable.

I've also got Saltwaters but finding them a bit flat. for my feet at the moment. I think they look amazing on tall willowy women but as a short dumpy woman with a tendency to waddle I don't think they are very flattering on me. But I do love them, and when my feet are better I will wear again!

whiteonesugar · 22/05/2018 15:54

Palmairas. Just got some new rose gold ones and am currently wearing my tan ones. LOVE them.

LeeLooDallasMultiPass · 22/05/2018 16:01

@BeeFarseer also love your name. My son is on the last of the Tawny Man trilogy and will be moving onto the Dragon Keeper books. I waited 15 years for him to be old enough to understand them.

Glad to see so many recommendations for Birkenstocks and Saltwater. Will definitely be buying some every day summer sandals this year. I usually wear Skechers flip flop style ones but need something less casual.

Beautifullymixed · 22/05/2018 17:38

I've just ordered the Debenhams sandals for a mere £20. Smile
Thanks Anyfucker - what a bargain!

I hope they are comfy, as the old plantar fasciitis is playing up, and I also hope the sizing is generous too. My feet are not only problematic, but large as well.

AgeingArtemis · 22/05/2018 17:52

Birkenstocks for me, they are SOOO comfy once broken in

Pupsiecola · 22/05/2018 17:52

Certainly not these...

I am having the usual problem, shopping for size 9s.

DramaAtTheTurkeyCafe · 22/05/2018 17:57

These 2- year-old Clarks. I bought new ones (brown FitFlops) but for some reason I'm feeling the old ones more at the moment.

Birkenstock Gizeh in brown and Arizona in black and silver. They're my favourite sandals. Also these

They’re like slippers ❤️

AnyFucker · 22/05/2018 19:29

You won't be disappointed beaut I hope

AnyFucker · 22/05/2018 19:38

these sparkly sliders from River Island look a bit uninspiring in the pic but they are a pretty and comfortable alternative to flip flops

AnyFucker · 22/05/2018 19:40

Here they are in situ

What sandals will be your go-to this summer?
CountFosco · 22/05/2018 19:54

I have navy original Saltwaters and Birkenstocks (pink Gizeh and brown Yara). I find the Saltwaters the most comfortable. I also really like the look of Palmairas and Ancient Greek Sandals. Have not bought any sandals yet this year but not sure I can justify...

Yokatsu · 22/05/2018 19:59

@anyfucker

OMG thanks to those Debenhams sandals I might actually get a pair of shoes past DD's fashion sensibilities that won't knacker her hypermobile ankle and knee joints! At the moment it was looking like trainers all summer, not so good with a wedding outfit GrinWinkGrin.

Thank you muchly @whyhastherumgone for starting this thread. I might just have saved a few mother daughter disputes!
