Im after some comfy sandles for walking in and cant afford anything like Birkenstocks, so these are the next best thing!
But i cant decide which ones to keep! Confused

I prefer the paler ones

TroubledLichen · 21/05/2018 18:12

I prefer the lighter colour

KnockMeDown · 21/05/2018 18:12

I prefer the brown ones on the left. I think that the wider straps suit the style better.

MumofBoysx2 · 21/05/2018 18:15

Keep both! Or better still wait and get the Birkenstocks, they are so comfy!

OnebusyMum · 21/05/2018 18:28

Im swaying towards the paler colour.
I wish i could get the Birkenstocks, but i cant justify spending ££ on sandles 😢

I like the three strap style, but would recommend whichever stay on your feet better. I have a toe post pair from office and love them but they are hard work to walk in.

Mybabystolemysanity · 21/05/2018 18:35

Keep an eye on TKMaxx for Birkenstock. I've had them for under £10 before (lucky!)

Office do a similar style to your pale ones with a really comfortable footbed for £20ish. I'm having another pair this year.

extinctspecies · 21/05/2018 18:37

I've had my Birkenstocks for 5 years & still wear them regularly.

They are built to last.

OnebusyMum · 21/05/2018 18:38

These ones are from office Mybabystolemysanity.

Ive looked in TK maxx, need them for next week really

The paler one.
Birkies aren't made as well as they used to-the Cork is crumbling on mine after 1.5 summers. Save your money.

OnebusyMum · 21/05/2018 21:00

Thanks everyone. The paler ones it is!

Anyone? The nude or white? I prefer the white design , but the nude colour!!

OP posts:
pinkmagic1 · 22/05/2018 07:20

The nude ones are by far the nicest.

WinterRose92 · 22/05/2018 07:22

The nude ones are really lovely.

mookinsx · 22/05/2018 07:25

Just been blessed with some Birkenstocks and honestly the arch support is the best - I've never had shoes so comfy and supportive and they are really worth considering

OnebusyMum · 22/05/2018 07:36

Oooh i am so tempted with Birkenstocks, but i have so many other things i need (or think i need)!!

I have tried every brand I can find of look like Birkenstock, and tbh you are better off paying the extra for the real thing.

Just a couple of weeks ago got a Spanish brand from TKMaxx, wore them and they are really not supportive or as comfortable, I can tell they are not going to last long for the price. They do also have Papillio (a brand of Birkinstocks) on the website as well as some Birkinstocks at the moment. Im eyeing up the gold pebbles ones

I have Birkies that are 10 years old (and yes now ready for the bin, but just so comfy) and so worth the money, as in the time have thrown others away that have lasted only one summer.

I do agree Birkenstock are not made as well as they used to be but penny for penny are better value for wear than any others. Just counted how many I have, oh dear now 12 pairs.

Sorry OP, back to your original choice of colour, the nude ones!!

SoyDora · 22/05/2018 07:51

My birkenstocks are on their 4th year, they really do last.

OnebusyMum · 22/05/2018 07:54

Thanks just looked on TK Maxx and have seen some white papillio sandles, but they are toe post ones, so not sure.

onalongsabbatical · 22/05/2018 08:03

The paler ones are nicer IMHO. But a word about Birkenstocks, I have two pairs I've had for ten years still going strong and some cheap knock offs that I bought a couple of years ago that are already falling apart. So, wear for wear, the Birks are WAAAAY cheaper.
I'm an old gimmer, by the way, and we wore Birks back in the 70s, and our kids called them Laughingstocks! Grin

spookytime · 22/05/2018 08:05

Keep the comfiest! Do any of the straps cut in?

OnebusyMum · 22/05/2018 08:34

No none of the straps cut in. Not sure if i want as many straps as the nude ones though!
Just seen these scholl ones, they have got to be comfy!

Tried the Scholl, they are ok but not as good a fit as Birkies

OnebusyMum · 22/05/2018 10:31

Aah ok, they look ok, might order them and see what the fit is like on them
