Tape for sagging eyelids

Hi all

I have been blessed with the dreadful sagging eyelids, but definitely not a good look.

I read a thread a little while back, but cannot seem to find it now. Someone mentioned the eyelid tape, and posted a picture of the difference.

I think at some point I really will consider surgery, but right now it definitely isn't an option.

I have tried no end of creams but really they make no difference at all. I have been through a stressy time, and I do think its taken it toll, and you know it is bad when people say you look tired, when actually you think you are having a good day...... Hmm

Problem is, I am not in UK but someone I know is coming over soon so could buy some tape for me there. We cannot get them here, well we can buy from overseas and get it shipped, but it really costs a fortune. I vaguely remember someone posted that they found some as cheap as chips and they worked well. If anyone can recommend some that I can get my family member to buy and bring for me when they come.

But do they work for most people. A couple of youtube videos that I did see were a bit hit and miss.

I couldn’t get on with the tapes, sorry.

I saved and had the op. Ten years later it still makes a difference.

Get them on ebay, but they are not very good and difficult to apply
I threw mine away, pointless

UpperWallop · 22/05/2018 08:37

It was me who did the photos. I'm always boggled when people say they're hard to apply and make no difference. They could not be any easier to apply and take about two seconds per eyelid, plus they make a huge difference. Order them from eBay and they deliver anywhere.

I think its worth a try Upper, I will try anything.

What is the name of the ones you used? I did have a search and there a few different ones, lots of varying prices too.

Tips 3,4 and 9 are good but 11 shows you how to cut crease which gives a great illusion and opens your eyes up.

creams will obviously not work.

are you seriously going to sellotape your eyelids every day?????

OdileDeCaray · 22/05/2018 09:02

Most of the cut crease tutorials show very heavy make up but you don't have to trowel it on just understand the principle of raising the crease area by use of a darker shade above your natural crease line. It really does work.

Thank you Odile , will get on to trying these tips.

Special, no I doubt I would do it every day. I have a major event coming up soon, and I need to be looking my best. Grin

I've never used a particular seller on eBay - just whoever I said cheap and near the top of the search results!! I get the very thin strips, as the bigger ones show up on your lids a bit more. Like this:

#whoever is cheap, not I said!

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 22/05/2018 09:50

Another one who didn't get on with the tapes at all, whatever I did you could always see them and they made no noticeable difference. Worth a try though as they are inexpensive.

ChiaraRimini · 22/05/2018 12:05

I have sagging eyelids but have found that eyelash extensions really open up and define my eyes and get rid of the "piggy eye" look.
They are not cheap, but still far cheaper than eyelid surgery.
