Wedding outfit help - short and fat

Hi, I need help! Catholic Church wedding to attend in 4 weeks and I need inspiration. 5'3", size 18/20. Good waist and boobs, mum tum with c section overhang and horrible flabby upper arms. Anyone fancy trying to find something for me? Ideally under £100 as am steadily losing weight so it'll probably be a one time only wear. Preferably a dress. Thanks!

Have you looked on Scarlett and Jo? www.scarlettandjo.com/

They also sell via Debenhams. Really good shaping, I've got a few tops from there and they are super flattering. Try looking in their sale sections too.

The Joe Browns dresses on Simply Be are good shapes too.

I'm going to a wedding soon too and I am a similar size but a whole inch shorter!
It's very difficult to find something flattering.

Pinkkahori · 20/05/2018 19:18

fab shape, pity it's in black

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 20/05/2018 19:24

Try Pepperberry?

Thanks- there are a couple of dresses on Scarlett and Jo which are gorgeous. There's so much sleeveless around though and that just doesn't work on me.

It is so difficult Pinkkahori! And I can't really do heels so can't even raise the height much either!

I'm not great with heels either.
I want sleeves too but wide sleeves or too much fabric on top half doesn't suit me at all.

How about this from Jacques Vert, an old fashioned brand but consequently usually forgiving in cut and styling.

Some of these are lovely, thanks so much. I'm going to get ordering tomorrow!

Let us know what you choose :-)

Pinkkahori · 23/05/2018 21:44

Did you order anything OP? I'm still at a loss. I've seen so many dresses I can't seem to make my mind up.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 23/05/2018 22:07

this is a beautiful dress, picture does not do it justice, it looks so expensive in real life. I was admiring it on a woman today and thought it was a monsoon or something similar, couldn't believe it was matalan! really lovely and flattering, she was probably a size 18 / 20 and looked lovely.

happyjackie · 23/05/2018 22:14

Little wings does some lovely vintage-style dresses which are flattering and come in a good range of sizes. www.littlewingsfactory.com/
