Has someone started another one? It's no fun watching without it Sad

I think Meghan's dress was perfect, she's very beautiful and doesn't need to jazz it up or show off her figure. I loved her veil and it was lovely to see Harry nervous, I especially loved seeing them hold hands throughout!

SporkInTheToaster · 19/05/2018 13:55

My initial impression of the dress was that it was understated and elegant. Having had a good look at it, I still think that but agree with those who say the bodice and sleeves weren’t well cut and that detracted from the overall lines. When you’ve gone for plain, clean lines and understatement with no flashy details to detract, the tailoring and cut have to be impeccable. Sadly, it wasn’t.

Recap on bbc

BusterGonad · 19/05/2018 13:59

I would imagine that the lady who made and designed the dress was more than qualified to do a proper job! I wouldn't dream of saying otherwise as I'm no seamstress!

gravytrains · 19/05/2018 14:00

Bbc have a really tacky wedding ring turning into a football 😕 logo.

Looks like that’s it then

SporkInTheToaster · 19/05/2018 14:02

Didn’t like Pippa’s dress either. The high neckline made her look like her tits were around her waist and accentuated her slightly sloping shoulders

Well I’d have thought so too buster and there was probably a reason why the dress wasn’t/couldn’t be more fitted but I do think it lost something as a result. To me as a tv viewer anyway.

RedDwarves · 19/05/2018 14:04

I liked the dress, but agree that the fit was off. Ultimately, she was never going to be allowed to outdo Kate’s dress, and she didn’t.

gravytrains · 19/05/2018 14:06

Pippa’s dress looked as if it had seethrough panels when she walked 😲. I had to look twice.

RosinaAlmaviva · 19/05/2018 14:06

I like Pippa's colour scheme but indeed the bodice doesn't look right. Think she needed a different bra and that neckline isn't flattering.

InkMade · 19/05/2018 14:08

The arms needed to be more fitted. Especially because it was a plain. But I liked the simple elegancy, especially of her make up. She comes across as one confident woman!

BusterGonad · 19/05/2018 14:14

I agree Ink she really did come across as a confident woman, not in a arrogant way but as a woman who knows her own self worth.

boomboom12 · 19/05/2018 14:21

Yes I said the fit was slight off around the bust & arms but nonetheless very elegant.

gravytrains · 19/05/2018 14:23

Yes, confident. DH says she rushed the vows but I work with loads of Americans, they all talk fast!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 19/05/2018 14:25

The dress tipped over from understated to dull for me. And the top was not fitted well. The veil was absolutely gorgeous.

gravytrains · 19/05/2018 14:27

Meghan is so slight, she had to be careful that the dresss didn’t wear her. I think it was spot on.

princessbear80 · 19/05/2018 15:10

Loved all the celebs outfits! Who was the woman in the pink v neck dress who arrived behind James Blunt and Sofia Wellesley? Dress was gorgeous, had ties on the sleeves.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 19/05/2018 15:21

I want to know who was wearing that orange dress with the black hat shaped like a saucer...I really liked it.

Fave outfits for me were Amal clooney, meghans Mum and kitty spencer.

Worst was priyanka chopra (who looked like the mother of the bride) and whoever was in the 80s blue polka dot dress.

NotARegularPenguin · 19/05/2018 15:37

Kitty Spencer looked amazing. Think her dress was my favourite.

boomboom12 · 19/05/2018 15:54

I can’t find pics of the orange cape dress anywhere

Whatthefoxgoingon · 19/05/2018 16:50

I think the orange cape dress lady arrived with the cast of Suits, so may be one of them. It was very striking but you’re right, can’t find a single pic!

RosinaAlmaviva · 19/05/2018 16:52

My top three:

  1. Amal Clooney - absolutely stunning. That is her colour.
  1. Fergie, and I never expected to be writing that. Glad she's found her fashion mojo! Liked that she was wearing gloves, as no-one else seemed to be apart from the Queen. I have some 1950s deadstock short white gloves and not enough occasions to wear them. All the press could find to criticise Fergie for was only wearing one glove, and she was clearly carrying the other so it wasn't a fashion statement.
  1. Lady in pink princessbear noticed!

Also liked: Doria Ragland, Kitty Spencer, Edwina Grosvenor.

DarthArts · 19/05/2018 17:08

Kitty Spencer's outfit was the highlight for me.

Thought she looked absolutely stunning.

BadTasteFlump · 19/05/2018 17:47

Was a bit disappointed with Beatrice and Eugenie's outfits - I was hoping for something much less subtle!

Chloe Madeley! Appalling.
